Fit2tease provides training for the qualified instructor in teaching burlXercise and pole dancing.
BurlXercise is an aerobics-based muscular strength and endurance class using dance-style moves inspired by burlesque, and strength and endurance exercises inspired by exotic dance moves. Although we take inspiration from exotic dancing, don’t worry, absolutely no stripping is involved! BurlXercise follows the principles of standard E2M.
Fit2tease also offers training for the qualified instructor in pole dancing and how to use the pole to teach a dance-style aerobics and muscular strength and endurance class. Two simple-to-teach pole dance spins are taught within each choreographed class. Fit2tease has been approved by FitPro and Cyril Cooper for insurance. It is our intention to link its outcomes to the SVQ level II qualification.

CLASSES information for the fit2tease student
BurlXercise & pole dancing
You can't have failed to notice the massive public interest in all things burlesque and glamorous; from fashion to fitness, burlesque is IN!
Here at fit2tease, we are delighted to be working with the Academy of Burlesque and Cabaret and Ultimate Spin pole dancing school to introduce our very own fitness-based pole dancing and burlesque aerobics classes.
Isn't it time you got fit2tease?
These classes are enormous fun provide great fitness and boost confidence and self esteem. We currently offer three very different classes, but all with that fit2tease element!
Fit2tease BurlXercise: take a dash of Dita von Teese, a bowl of Bettie Page, add a pinch of Pussycat Dolls and you have BurlXercise! This class mixes classic burlesque bump ‘n’ grind moves with more modern moves to give you the best of burlesque moves. You’ll be shimmying with sensual striptease moves you didn’t know existed and your moves on the dance floor will never be the same again!
Fit2tease Pole Tease: aimed at all abilities, Pole Tease is a pole-based fitness class where the pole is your best friend and fitness buddy! You will learn basic pole spins as well as transition steps and moves that will come in handy round your whirly gig. Warning: pole dancing is addictive!
Fit2tease Tone: this is a predominantly floor-based class which allows you to tease, tantalise and tone all at the same time!
After a course of either fit2tease Tone or fit2tease Pole, you should find that your upper body, tummy, legs and bottom are more toned, that your flexibility and strength has improved and may even find that you feel happier with your body and more confident in general.
Excuses?
I'd love to come but... I need to lose weight first.
RUBBISH! Fit2tease is for everyone. It isn't about how you look, but how you feel! Besides, if you want to shape up, these classes are an ideal way to get yourself fit and toned.
I'm worried my friends/partner/mother will think it’s seedy.
These classes are 100% fitness we do use a pole, and many of the moves are inspired by dance moves from burlesque and pole dancing, but everything has been adapted and is only included if we can justify it totally from a fitness perspective. Pole dancing and burlesque are now mainstream; many of the major gyms have pole studios and run raunchy style aerobics classes of which fit2tease is only one. Fit2tease is good clean fun it’s no seedier than practising the tango or going belly dancing! If your mum is really worried, why not bring her along to a class!
I don't know what to wear
Trainers or dance shoes, shorts and a t-shirt; if you want to go slinky and don hot pants and a bra top go ahead we’ll be in our shorts and T-shirt though :). For Pole Tease, the more skin you can have in contact with the pole the better, as this helps your grip. Please do not apply body lotion or moisturisers before class as this can make your skin slide on the pole.
I've heard it's really hard to do
Yes, Pole Tease in particular is hard physical work but we have taken this into consideration and devised different levels of choreography for different levels. The classes have been specifically designed to offer something for everyone. Level one choreography will help your build your strength and stamina, allowing you to move onto further levels when you feel ready. When you are learning Pole Tease, or indeed pole dancing in general, it is likely that you will suffer DOMs (delayed onset muscle soreness) and it is probably that you will at some point suffer some bruising from contact with the pole.
I don't have a pole of my own
You don't need one! Poles are provided for lessons - in general we have one pole between three-five people. We find that this gives everyone the right mix of practice on the pole, recovery and time to learn the transition moves. However, we're so convinced that you'll love it so much you'll want your own pole that we now stock X-Poles in the shop.
I need more information
No worries contact us and we will be glad to answer any questions you have.
